Please note that applications may be submitted at any time and will be considered as funds are available.

Awards

Fall 2015/Winter2016

  • VEX Robotics Field Kit, providing a standard environment to practice for competitions, was awarded to Jeffery Bower (HS)
  • Math Movements materials to explore Math and Physical Education integration were awarded to Carol Atkins and Beth Donovan (Glendaal)

Spring 2015

  • 3-D printer for the Middle School Makerspace was awarded to Debbie Collins
  • Computerized sewing machine for High School and Middle School Home and Careers and Special Ed students was awarded to Cheryl Miller
  • Versa Tiles for Math education were awarded to Mrs. Leffler and Mrs. MacLagger (Glendaal)
  • Gardening equipment for Special Education student projects was awarded to Ms. Fyvie, Ms. Cheely, and Ms. Shepard (Glen Worden)

Spring 2014

Two new grant awards were approved by the Foundation and subsequently accepted by the Board of Education on 4/7/2014. 

  • Funding of a VEX Robotics Kit was awarded to Randy Jenkins, Academic Head for Mathematics and Science. Watch the robots in action!
  • Funding of a plant table and growing lights was awarded to Cindy Markham, speech/language therapist at the Middle School.

Older Awards

Summer 2013

A grant was awarded to Bruce Kohout and the GIVE Music and Memory program to help them provide music to senior citizens at the Baptist Retirement Center. Catch a glimpse of what it has meant to students and elders.

Spring 2013

The Foundation's first two grant are awarded!

  • Kim Lavery, kindergarten teacher at Sacandaga Elementary School was awarded funds to purchase a dramatic play center and sets of multi-cultural doll families for children to use to practice social skills, problem solving with groups of other students and work through behavioral issues. 
  • Jan Tunison, Library Media Specialist at Scotia-Glenville High School was awarded funds to purchase two high-quality microphones for instructional broadcasting, including screen casting, podcasting and video casting.
